The JobKnob LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your personal information when you use our services.

  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card information directly.
  • Career Information: Resumes, work history, job goals, and other information you share with us during consultations.
  • Usage Information: Information about how you interact with our website and services, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver and improve our services (mock interviews, resume revamps, career consultations, etc.).
  • Process payments through Stripe.
  • Communicate with you about appointments, follow-ups, and updates.
  • Personalize your experience with us.
  • Process your information using AI and automated tools to enhance service quality (see Section 3 below).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Use of AI and Automated Processing

As part of delivering our career services, we may process your personal information (including resumes, career history, job goals, and session content) using artificial intelligence (“AI”) and automated tools provided by third-party service providers. This section describes how and why we use these tools and the safeguards we have in place.


3.1 Purpose of AI Processing

We use AI tools to assist our consultants in activities such as:

  • Analyzing and optimizing resume content, formatting, and keyword alignment.
  • Generating tailored interview preparation questions and career guidance materials.
  • Drafting feedback, action plans, or other deliverables that are subsequently reviewed and finalized by a human consultant.


3.2 Third-Party AI Providers

Client data processed through AI tools may be transmitted to third-party AI service providers, which may include platforms such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), or similar services. We select providers based on their data protection commitments and review their terms periodically. A current list of AI providers in use is available upon request by contacting contact.us@thejobknob.com


3.3 Data Protection Safeguards

  • We use API or enterprise-tier access to AI services that include contractual prohibitions against using customer-submitted data for model training or improvement.
  • We do not upload client data to free-tier or consumer AI products where provider data-use rights may be broader.
  • Data transmitted to AI providers is limited to what is necessary for the specific service being performed.
  • We review AI provider terms of service and data processing agreements at least annually, or whenever providers announce material changes to their data practices.


3.4 Human Oversight

All AI-generated outputs are reviewed, edited, and/or validated by a qualified JobKnob consultant before being delivered to clients. No final career advice, resume, or deliverable is provided to a client based solely on AI output without human review.


3.5 Opting Out of AI Processing

If you do not wish for your personal information to be processed using AI tools, you may notify us in writing at contact.us@thejobknob.com before or during your engagement. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate your request; however, opting out may limit certain service features or extend delivery timelines.


4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Stripe – for secure payment processing.
  • AI Service Providers – as described in Section 3, for the purpose of delivering and enhancing our career services, subject to contractual data protection obligations.
  • Other Service Providers – third-party tools that help us operate our business (e.g., scheduling, email, automation tools), under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Authorities – if required by law or to protect our rights.


5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Data transmitted to AI providers is subject to those providers’ retention policies; we select providers that commit to limited or no retention of input data. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.


6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Opt out of AI-assisted processing of your data (see Section 3.5).
  • Request information about which AI providers have processed your data.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Payment data is handled exclusively through Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS compliance. Data transmitted to AI providers is sent via encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.


8. Third-Party Links

Our website or communications may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.


9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in AI providers or data processing practices. We will notify you of significant changes via email or by posting an updated version on our website. Material changes to AI processing practices will be communicated with reasonable advance notice.
